New Cuteness at Colette

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

I don’t think I’ve ever gone to the Colette site and not wanted everything. I absolutely love the Tatty Devine heart sunglasses pin and heart lollipop necklace. Perfect for the little Lolita in you. And the ruggedness of the Jeremy Scott Stomp print on the ubiquitous Longchamp Pliage bag make me feel like it would be the most perfect day bag eva. You should definitely check out the site soon to see the Krink-ed out drippy version . . . the site’s been recently customized and if it’s anything like the other stuff at Colette, it won’t be around for very long.

Treizeor: Bows for Ladies & Gents

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

alexis mabille treizeor
Alexis Mabille has the kind of fashion education and experience that most could only dream of. He graduated from the very fancy Chambre Syndicate de la Haute Couture Parisienne and has worked with John Galliano and Hedi Slimane at Dior. It’s only fitting that Mabille has become a favorite with his line of unisex bowties, Treizeor. Ladies can wear the bowties on their necks, hair, clothing - anywhere really. He even makes clothing and handbags - all of which incorporate bows. I love bows and this is a really beautiful and refreshing take on the classic little bow. I heart Treizeor!!

M.I.S.S. Michelle’s Beauty Pick and Tip of the Week: Mineral Powder Perfect. How to Get Super Model Skin at a Super Beautiful Price.

Monday, January 28th, 2008

I’ve had the worst winter flu for the past month, but no one suspects I’m sick until they hear me hack up a lung…..or hair ball. And I ain’t gonna lie. Despite the bad health, I look pretty good, and it’s all due to the miraculous visual powers of mineral powders.

In today’s health conscious society, we pop vitamins and dietary supplements like candy for our insides, and yet somehow it seems we’ve forgotten, until recently, minerals are good for the skin. What’s great about mineral powders is they provide its wearer with sufficient, yet lightweight coverage. The minerals in the pigments are light reflective and give the skin a healthy moisturized “glow” without looking greasy, and actually provide nourishment for your skin as well, and as chemists make more technological breakthroughs in cosmetics, types of products that were once very expensive and quite inaccessible to middle class incomes become easier and less costly to manufacture, and therefore are able to trickle down into the market at a competitive price, which increases overall accessibility, and thus lessens the retail price, and L’Oreal has always been a leader in this type of cosmetic production. Owned by the same company as Lancome, L’Oreal does an expert job at making good quality cosmetics at an affordable price point.
