This Spring we are expecting to see you ladies a bit more dolled up than usual! Adding a bit of high-class attitude to your looks by including a dressy element whether it be lady-like gloves, fancy-pants suspenders or trading-up your “59Fifty” for an old-world fedora. Here we’ve put together some key elements to “Puttin’ On the Ritz” this season. This phrase, “Puttin’ On the Ritz”, dates back to the 20’s/30’s and means to ‘dress very fashionably’. So let’s break-out the tulle trimmed hats, add a pair of spats to your look or a bow-tie to your hair and strut your stuff girl! Here’s a sneak peak…see the whole story after the jump!
Can’t stop, won’t stop giving props to those doing attractive and creative things in the ladies sneaker game, so here’s a little video that ought to give you guys a broader idea of the inspiration behind and connected to the Reebok Freestyle World Tour collection, and it’s embassadors.
I also mentioned in my last post about the Freestyle World Tour that it was a footwear and apparel collection, but I didn’t show you any of the apparel. The collection will consist of tees, sweats, track jackets, and at least one bag, and the pieces will retail ranging in price from $28 - $75. So enough with the talky-talk, here we go with some pictures direct from Reebok, and some that I shot at the event.

Last November Kites & Feathers quietly opened their doors in Venice, CA. Owned by Brazilian duo, Helen Nishimura and Carla Manuel, the two teamed up to create a shopping experience of one-of-a-kind vintage pieces and a place to showcase Manuel’s label, Kites by Carla Manuel. “Afrology” debuted at Essex Street Gallery in New York this past Thursday the 21st. Although the space was small the special collection of new graffiti works by James TOPS spoke in volumes. We got a sneak peak of the compelling collection of “Afrology” debuting seventeen pieces of variations to the 1970’s hairstyle, the “Afro”. “It depicts controversial, nostalgic and historical messages of the African-American experience via mixed media and graffiti art”.
