Last Wednesday, Radio Rose invited us into the studio to keep her company while she recorded one of her upcoming interweb radio programs, “Girl’s Town” for Children of Da Curb and PNC Radio. The studio is in DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), and had a stupendous view. I even finally got to see the NYC Waterfalls by Olafur Eliasson - so exciting! Recording the show was lots of silly fun - it was a full on dance party with tons of old school freestyle or as Rose calls it, Puerto Rican R&B with lots of 80s dance tunes thrown in for good measure. The show won’t go live for a few weeks but we’ll let you know when it launches - stay tuned! Many thanks to Rose for inviting M.I.S.S.! Fox News never ceases to amaze me with their racist rants. I have no idea where they find their correspondents - I just want to stay far, far away from wherever that scary place is. I just found out about this petition from Around The Way Girls that calls for Fox “News” (can they even really call it that?) to stop injecting racism and prejudice into their programs. They’ve managed to bring up lynching, the “terrorist” fist jab, the “angry black woman” stereotype and calling her Obama’s Baby Mama. ENOUGH!! Sign it here!
