This week’s tip is how to give a fast and easy manicure and pedicure. In between nail salon visits, I give myself a manicure and pedicure every week and a half or so, and the whole process, which includes last week’s tip, Two Minute Cuticle Prep, and drying time, takes about one hour.

This week’s tip: Do It In the Shower - Two Minute Cuticle Prep , is another time saving technique done while showering, and is inspired by my true and desperate need for a manicure. During a shower is great time to prep cuticles, since skin automatically softens from the water’s moisture, and is easily pliable. The following is a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to maintain cuticles in between nail salon visits.
“Paint Pens in Purses” is a series of all-female urban art shows gaining its start this year! Shayna Yasuhara believes we are in the early stages of a new art movement which will and must involve the touch of female artists. The first show of the series, which features works by Nineta, Lichiban, Morgan Thomas, Kim Harris, Heather McGrath, illy L, and Shayna Shenanigans, will take place at Via Matta on August 6th. The series will continue throughout the fall at more venues including: LAB in Allston, and Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge.

So you know we had to hook up some finger lick’n nails…all the necessities for your ‘Q: Hot Dogs, Chips ‘n Dip (please believe those are real chips and French onion dip, we certainly don’t play, especially when it comes to nails…and food!), Drank, Hamburger on a Sesame seed bun, and some watermelon! Just thinking of summer and bbq’s brings to mind a certain back ‘n the day song…and so we leave you with this…

Holidaaaaay! Celebrate! Oh, the Holiday sneaker…Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, St. Patty’s, Easter, Valentines Day, Thanksgiving?? Yeah, even Thanksgiving. Now a days we look forward to a new sneaker release around each Holiday, perhaps more so than presents under the Christmas tree. They come “quick”, are gone even faster (usually), and often times fetch a premium on the resale market. There was a time when not all Holidays had a sneaker. This particular Valentines edition of the Nike Air Max 90 is from 2001 and is from the beginnings of the Holiday sneaker craze. It was love at first site. Don’t know about you but here at M.I.S.S. we’d take these over a box of chocolates any day. Oh, we still want the red roses and romantic dinner but the only box of something we want this Valentines Day best have kicks inside!
