Target, or Tar-Jaaaay as we like to call it, is one of my favorite places to go, and for various reasons. From their designer clothing collaborations, to cleverly designed cleaning products (Method), to home organizing solutions, Target supplies a plethora of affordable and smartly designed products, whose reach even extends to the realm of beauty, seen in this week’s pick, Sonia Kashuk’s Perfectly Neutral Eye Palette, yet another impressive Tar-jaaay product. Everytime I see this commercial I want to start dancing!! All I have to say is that my dorm room was barely large enough to fit my bed and a desk. These ladies are livin’ large!
Not only has he moved his show from London to New York, but he has also inked a deal with Gola for a line of shoes - and now comes word that he will be partnering up with Target for a limited edition collection for Target’s GO International.
Sources tell WWD that the young Scotsmen is in talks with the mass retailer for a capsule collection that will probably follow the highly-anticipated Jovovich-Hawk line.
We really hope this rumor is true. If not, the very busy designer’s Topshop collection hits stores later this month. It will feature “jersey dresses printed with bold, primary color shapes.”
Wow, those would look great with our Gryson for Target distressed leather bags. Yes, we totally have our fingers crossed for this one!
After that Hollywould nonsense, Target owes us this latest accessory collaboration.Joy Gryson, former director of design and development of handbags and accessories for Marc Jacobs and the burgeoning queen of downtown chic with her own line, will be the next the next high-end designer to team up with the mass retailer, joining the ranks of Devi Kroell, Hollywould, Dominique Cohen, Rafé, and, most recently, Loeffler Randall.People can expect to see the collection of accessories in stores sometime in 2008.I’m super excited about this! I’m picturing a few cute totes and satchels with Gryson’s signature hardware and beautiful detailing. You know, one of those effortlessly chic bags that you don’t have to think about while running errands.Let’s see, Pierre Hardy and Gryson are both making an affordable line for the masses next year. I couldn’t think of a better year to be a college student on a budget!Source
The highly anticipated Erin Fetherston for Target collection is now available online, no more stalking the Target.com website to see if there are new items snuck in haha! As usual they don’t release the whole collection at once so you’ll have to check in from time to time to see if theres new goods added, fyi the red satin dress is not available yet! I really like this collection, its cute hopefully the goods look as good as the pics. I’ll let ya know when I get it in the mail, in the meantime if you guys have reviews leave a comment here! Holla at your gurl and let me know what you copped! Enuff said…
Soap&Glory has created alot of buzz amongst some of the most popular beauty blogs lately. For example, the editors at Girlawhirl.com have said:
Ever since [girlawhirl] tried Marcia Kilgore’s latest creation, Soap & Glory Cosmetics when they were introduced in England last summer, she’s been dying to have the fun, hard-working and well-priced bath, body and beauty items available to her here, instead of carrying back multiples or asking London Super Pals to bring them for her when they visit her in the states…”
Basically, you know how you stock up on wet n wild lip chaps and maybelline mascaras even though you have your unused fifty dollar lipsticks just collecting dust in your makeup bag? Well, this company agrees that some of the best beauty products are the least expensive and have decided to stay with a more affordable price point without sacrificing quality. Cool, huh? If you’re interested, Soap&Glory products will be hitting Target shelves anyday now!
The long anticipated Alice Temperley for Target collection is now available at Target.com! I’ve received several emails days before the official launch (September 16th) telling me it has dropped at certain stores but I never had a chance to make it down. Luckily most of the stuff I wanted was online, I honestly never have any luck in shopping for GO Designers at my local Target! Target.com offers free shipping for the purchase of $50+ so I rather avoid the long lines and disappointment at stores haha, for Target purchases I’m more of an online shopper.
Can you believe its already September? Although I believe it’s far too hot to discuss the significance of flannel this season, Alice Temperley’s uber-chic Target Go International line is just too cool to ignore any longer. The moody color palette has me down right giddy for a few of the menswear inspired pieces and feminine dresses. The separates look great too by themselves, so they could easily be coordinated with anything else in your closet. If you’re loving/wanting everything like I do, the collection is set to hit stores September 16th, so I hope you haven’t charged too much at Kohl’s!
Even though there are a few more GO International Designers on the roster already and we’re only up to Libertine, I have been eager to find out which designer Target will tap after Erin Fetherston. Wait no more, it has been announced that Jovovich-Hawk will be up next! Woohoo, I’m excited about this…
Now Jovovich-Hawk is joining the likes of Patrick Robinson, Proenza Schouler and Libertine (in the U.S.) and Stella McCartney (in Australia) with a lower-priced capsule line (around $34.99!) for Target, due in stores for Spring ‘08. “Our Target line will have all our classic pieces: smock dresses, tunics, minis, all vintage-inspired, great prints,” Jovovich said. “We took the things that sold the best for us but we’re doing it on a bigger scale. To be able to do it with a big company that can afford to do it for a good price so that real girls can afford it. That’s the reason we were interested.” via LA Times
Back in June, I received news from a *lil birdie* that Hollywould was tapped by Target to create a limited-time-only accessories collection that will run from October 21, 2007 to January 19, 2008. Yesterday, Target put up images from the collection and I have to say I’m really disappointed. There’s absolutely no urge to purchase anything from this collection, the only decent piece is may be the lace print pump…remember I said may be, the final decision lies on how it looks in person. Judge for yourself, are you feelin’ any of this?
