Worship Worthy Launches Clothing Line

Monday, August 18th, 2008

The ladies of Worship Worthy are releasing a small collection of graphic tees, a hoodie and leggings for Fall 2008 with product hitting shelves at the end of September. We’re excited to see the new line!  I got a promo tee at the last M.A.G.I.C. tradeshow and it’s one of my favorite tees.  I do have to say that I am surprised that women would be perpetuating the image of a woman bound and powerless - it’s so sad to see women fall into the misogynistic communication patterns that men have established rather than trying to blaze new paths.  Regardless of that, I think that the clothes will be dope and I’m excited for the launch.

Women Making History: Jennifer of Worship Worthy

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Jennifer Wannarachue grew up working in fashion retail surrounded by a skate and snowboarding culture. With these influences she started designing streetwear apparel in 1999 before moving to New York City in 2000 when she headed the accessories division of the leading streetwear brand Triple 5 Soul. Her experience and design skills grew while developing collections for Zoo York and Berlin-based Aem’Kei. Adding to her freelance roster, Jennifer has also played an integral design and development role for collections such as Blue Marlin, Staple, House of Dereon, and Rocawear.

In 2006 Jennifer founded her design studio and online New York-centric trend newsletter, Worship Worthy. Design, production, brand consulting, marketing and art direction are some of the areas of expertise that the seasoned fashion designer lends her knowledge. Clients of the popular design and trend counsel include Nike, Camel No. 9, Wish ATL, Haze, and Camp Beverly Hills.

Worship Worthy’s online presence as the premiere lifestyle newsletter targeted towards women has a growing audience and has received praise from several publications, including NYLON Magazine, Fader Magazine, LTD Magazine, and Wearethemarket.com.

MAGIC SCHWAG

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I know, I know MAGIC was 2 weeks ago but I just unpacked so leave me alone. One of the best parts of going to the show is the free stuff. We got so much great stuff and it’s always cool to see what new promo item companies come up with. This past show had a clear winner. The best promo of MAGIC this year goes to 10 Deep. Their promo was so well thought out and perfect for Vegas. It consisted of a black bag (that you could use as a laptop bag), a t-shirt and a “MAGIC survival kit” which included a lighter (to “wake and bake”), gum to keep your breathe fresh (speak freely), a toothbrush, sunglasses and a condom - all things that most people use at some point or another in Vegas.

Check out the other great stuff after the jump . . .
